Paula Patton in talks to join ‘SVU’ + leading role in romantic comedy?
Looks like the work is rolling in for Paula Patton since playing Ms. Rain in the Oscar nominated movie, Precious and the recently released Just Wright. Paula Patton is currently in negotiations to play the Assistant District Attorney on Law & Order SVU. Paula would join a long list of actresses that have played the ADA on the show including Angie Harmon and recently Sharon Stone. Paula is also being considered to play the lead in the romantic comedy Jumping The Broom.
The wedding themed comedy follows the clash of two black families from opposite ends of the socioeconomic background at a weekend wedding in Martha’s Vineyard. Patton would play the female lead of the wealthy family.
Jumping The Broom will be directed by Salim Akil and produced by Bishop T.D. Jakes, Curtis Wallace, Tracey Edmonds, Glendon Palmer and Elizabeth Hunter.

Charice, the 18 year old international singer from the Philippines will join the cast of Glee! She will be playing a foreign exchange student giving Rachel (Lea Michele) a run for her money! Charice’s story is amazing. She rose to fame on Oprah and Ellen after the video of her singing I’m telling you, I’m not going went viral on YouTube 3 years ago! Charice has overcome extraordinary circumstances, and was even homeless in the Philippines at one time. She never let go of her dream! Check out her story on Oprah below=)

Actress Rue McClanahan of the “Golden Girls” dies at 76
Rue McClanahan, best known for her character Blanche Devereaux- the “sexually liberated Southern Belle” on the Golden Girls passed away at 1 am this morning from a stroke. In 1997, she was treated for breast cancer and in 2009 had heart bypass surgery. Before the hit sitcom The Golden Girls in 1985, McClanahan had a career in Off Broadway & regional shows in the 60s, and was a part of the series Maude in the 70s starring Bea Arthur. (Golden Girl Dorothy) Throughout the years she continued work in stage, tv & film.
McClanahan was married six times: Tom Bish, with whom she had a son, Mark Bish; actor Norman Hartweg; Peter D’Maio; Gus Fisher; and Tom Keel. She married husband Morrow Wilson on Christmas Day in 1997.
