Zoe Saldana is Avon’s newest face

The beautiful Avatar star has been named the newest face of an Avon fragrance, Eternal Magic which will debut in April. The fragrance takes inspiration from the rare Princess Monaco Rose.  Saldana will also be featured in the company’s brochure as a face of Avon’s Color Cosmetics Collections. Geralyn Breig, Senior Vice President and President of Avon North America, says of Saldana,

“We are thrilled to have Zoe as the spokesperson for Eternal Magic. Every woman wants to be unforgettable and Zoe perfectly embodies that feeling. She’s a rising star in Hollywood — and has built a strong reputation for playing empowering characters that leave a lasting impression.”

TV: Conan O’Brien releases statement, he will not follow Jay at 12:05

According to the Huffington Post, Conan O’ Brien released an official statement on Tuesday afternoon. He will not be following Jay Leno’s new time slot out of respect for the Tonight Show Brand. .. …I am Team Conan :/

People of Earth:

In the last few days, I’ve been getting a lot of sympathy calls, and I want to start by making it clear that no one should waste a second feeling sorry for me. For 17 years, I’ve been getting paid to do what I love most and, in a world with real problems, I’ve been absurdly lucky. That said, I’ve been suddenly put in a very public predicament and my bosses are demanding an immediate decision.

Six years ago, I signed a contract with NBC to take over The Tonight Show in June of 2009. Like a lot of us, I grew up watching Johnny Carson every night and the chance to one day sit in that chair has meant everything to me. I worked long and hard to get that opportunity, passed up far more lucrative offers, and since 2004 I have spent literally hundreds of hours thinking of ways to extend the franchise long into the future. It was my mistaken belief that, like my predecessor, I would have the benefit of some time and, just as important, some degree of ratings support from the prime-time schedule. Building a lasting audience at 11:30 is impossible without both.

But sadly, we were never given that chance. After only seven months, with my Tonight Show in its infancy, NBC has decided to react to their terrible difficulties in prime-time by making a change in their long-established late night schedule.

Last Thursday, NBC executives told me they intended to move the Tonight Show to 12:05 to accommodate the Jay Leno Show at 11:35. For 60 years the Tonight Show has aired immediately following the late local news. I sincerely believe that delaying the Tonight Show into the next day to accommodate another comedy program will seriously damage what I consider to be the greatest franchise in the history of broadcasting. The Tonight Show at 12:05 simply isn’t the Tonight Show. Also, if I accept this move I will be knocking the Late Night show, which I inherited from David Letterman and passed on to Jimmy Fallon, out of its long-held time slot. That would hurt the other NBC franchise that I love, and it would be unfair to Jimmy.

So it has come to this: I cannot express in words how much I enjoy hosting this program and what an enormous personal disappointment it is for me to consider losing it. My staff and I have worked unbelievably hard and we are very proud of our contribution to the legacy of The Tonight Show. But I cannot participate in what I honestly believe is its destruction. Some people will make the argument that with DVRs and the Internet a time slot doesn’t matter. But with the Tonight Show, I believe nothing could matter more.

There has been speculation about my going to another network but, to set the record straight, I currently have no other offer and honestly have no idea what happens next. My hope is that NBC and I can resolve this quickly so that my staff, crew, and I can do a show we can be proud of, for a company that values our work.

Thieves break into Usher’s SUV, steal over 1 million dollars in gifts and cash!

Who leaves over 1 million dollars worth of  gifts in a car near a mall parking lot?? Apparently Usher does. On Dec. 14,  over 1 million dollars worth of jewelry, $50,000 worth of furs and clothing 16,000 worth of electronics, and $20,000 in cash were stolen from his vehicle, Fox news reported Monday.

According to the police report, the R&B star was patronizing a nearby AT&T store when a burgundy Chevy Impala with tinted windows pulled up next to his GMC Yukon. A man in his early twenties got out of the Impala, broke open one of the Yukon’s doors and made off with the goods, a witness told police. A source also told Fox 5 that the “My Way” singer was particularly concerned about two laptops that were stolen because they contained a few never-before-heard tunes that he’s been working on.

Not that he seemed fazed at the time. That afternoon, Usher tweeted, “o tomorrow is a TV interview what should the look be suit & tie or jeans [and] boots?”

Smh..people are so careless sometimes.

Tila Tequila’s fiance Casey Johnson dead at 30

Tila Tequila’s fiance Casey Johnson was found dead this morning in LA. Law enforcement told TMZ that Casey had been dead several days before her body was discovered. Tila says that they were fighting last week and that Casey stayed over on the 28th. The two had not been in contact since then. Tila tried contacting Casey on the 29th, but her phone had been shut off. One hour ago Tila Tweeted :

R.I.P my Angel. @caseyjonsonJnJ u will forever be in my heart! I love u so so much and we will Marry when I see U in Heaven my Wifey

Casey Johnson was an heiress to the Johnson & Johnson fortune. The cause of death is undetermined and is currently under investigation.

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves welcome baby Vida

Matthew McConaughey and his girlfriend Camila Alves are the proud parents of a 7lb, 7oz baby girl, named Vida.  Camila gave birth at 12:13 this morning. Matthew shared the news via his official website, and also explained the meaning behind the name:

“Vida, is Portuguese for ‘life’  and that’s what God gave us this morning….

Camila’s recovering wonderfully and we are both truly honored to welcome this little lady into our family…thanks for all your well wishes and prayers along the way, another blessed day…”

Vida is the couple’s second child. They also have a one year old son, Levi. Congrats to the happy family
