Lifestyle: My trip to the Poké Shack in West Hollywood
A few weeks ago, I had the privilege to eat at The Poké Shack in West Hollywood. If you're not familiar with Poké , it's fresh raw fish salad originating in Hawaii. The space at The Poké Shack is really cute and is located in the perfect location for a tasty lunch after thrifting on Melrose. I had a colorful bowl filled with fresh shrimp (I'm a
punk bit of a raw fish wuss) beautiful vegetables and brown rice. Although there were many flavors and ingredients in my bowl- cucumbers, cilantro, pineapple, watermelon radish, seaweed and sesame oil to name a few, they complimented each other well and tasted amazing. I ordered the "Lil daddy" which was acutally quite large and satisfying. If you have more of an appetite you can go for "Big Daddy" hehe. Other notable features of the Poké shack include a patio with a cool place to take pics for instagram and fresh coconuts filled with water. All of the juices also come from Hawaii. The Poké shack also offers Acai bowls and fruit smoothies. If you're in Weho and want a healthy but delicious meal as well as a a little taste of Hawaii stop by The Poké shack. The staff is friendly and will welcome you with open arms!
