Paula Patton in talks to join ‘SVU’ + leading role in romantic comedy?
Looks like the work is rolling in for Paula Patton since playing Ms. Rain in the Oscar nominated movie, Precious and the recently released Just Wright. Paula Patton is currently in negotiations to play the Assistant District Attorney on Law & Order SVU. Paula would join a long list of actresses that have played the ADA on the show including Angie Harmon and recently Sharon Stone. Paula is also being considered to play the lead in the romantic comedy Jumping The Broom.
The wedding themed comedy follows the clash of two black families from opposite ends of the socioeconomic background at a weekend wedding in Martha’s Vineyard. Patton would play the female lead of the wealthy family.
Jumping The Broom will be directed by Salim Akil and produced by Bishop T.D. Jakes, Curtis Wallace, Tracey Edmonds, Glendon Palmer and Elizabeth Hunter.
