Nik Pace suing NY Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards for child support

According to the New York Post former America’s Next Top Model finalist Nik Pace is suing for child support in the amount of $70,000/month! NY Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards fathered a baby boy back in August in Georgia. Edwards makes about 5 million per year and filed in Atlanta, however Pace objected and sued for child support in New York, where she lives. Pace’s lawyer told the New York Post:

“Braylon had tried to get the case litigated in Georgia because they are traditionally less generous with child support payments. It’s a cold, calculated act to pay less money.”

Edwards says he’s trying to do the right thing and that Nik gave birth in Georgia and is registered to vote in Georgia.  He says she only moved to New York after he was traded to the jets. According to friends the two have known each other for several years but have never had a serious relationship. We’ll see how this one plays out.
