Monique and Gabourey Sidibe receive Golden Globe nominations for “Precious”

Mo’nique and Gabourey Sidibe have both been nominated for Golden Globe awards! These nominations are truly deserved, they did amazing work in this film. (If you still haven’t seen it, you definitely should!) “Precious” is also nominated for Best Motion picture – Drama. A few other nomination highlights include: The Hangover for Best Motion picture – comedy, The Princess and the Frog for Best Animated Feature Film, and GLEE for Best Television series Musical or Comedy. I definitely think this is a well-deserved nomination. Monique took it to another level in this movie—never seen her so… “raw”. I’m just glad it wasn’t overlooked and is getting the recognition it deserves.
I’m happy for the both of them. But I wonder why Lee Daniels didn’t get a best director nom, especially since the film was nom for best film and monique and gabby both got noms. Hmmm.
